Summer Essentials

Roll out those hazy crazy days of summer…are you prepared?
Sandals or Flip Flops
You’ll need flip flops or sandals that will take you from the beach or pool to shopping and restaurants. Flip-flops, and thongs can look sexy and be comfortable.
Shield your eyes in style with oversized sunglasses. Great sunglasses should block out the sun while looking chic. Buying the right pair of good sunglasses for the conditions in which you use them gives you maximum protection and performance. Sunglasses provide protection from ultraviolet rays in sunlight. Ultraviolet (UV) light damages the cornea and the retina. Good sunglasses can eliminate UV rays completely.
Beach Towel
You can’t go to the beach without a beach towel! These days they come in all sorts of fun colors, patterns and some can even be customized. Provides cushioning from the pool deck or sand. I find the best ones are usually the cheapest.
Beach Cover Up
When you’re walking around its best to put on something lightweight and stylish over your swim suits. Sun protective clothing uses fabric to protect your skin from the sun. Sun protection clothing is an easy and reliable form of UV protection and so is becoming more and more popular. Tunics, sarongs and strapless dresses are easy to put on and look fabulous.
A Wide Brimmed Hat
I think this summer you should go for it! There are great opportunities to try out this accessory with flattering designs for every outfit and style. Protect your face from getting sun burnt with a cute hat. Look for one with a wide brim. These come in different sizes and are often made of straw or canvas. A hat should be worn outside, particularly when the sun is most intense (10 AM to 3 PM). A wide-brimmed hat can reduce eye exposure to UVB radiation by 30 - 50%. Because the sun's rays are highly reflective, sitting in the shade or under an umbrella by itself does not guarantee protection.
