Haitian Relief Telethon

As the crisis in Haiti continues in the wake of the devastating 7.0 earthquake on Tuesday, MTV and George Clooney have teamed up to present a telethon to rally support and raise money for the embattled country.
On Friday night, January 22, the Oscar-winning actor will appear in a bi-coastal telethon and fundraiser on all MTV Networks channels. MTV Networks' "Hope for Haiti" is a global telethon set to air commercial-free across ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on Friday, January 22, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The telethon will be hosted by Clooney in Los Angeles, Wyclef Jean in New York and CNN's Anderson Cooper in Haiti. All proceeds will go toward relief efforts in Haiti.

So happy you posted this. I think this is the 1st time all networks, etc. are combining for any effort. Shows the power of George Clooney, doesn't it. Such a wonderful idea. Larry King's show raised about $9M in 2 hours when he had stars on Monday night, so lets pray to raise $25M on Friday. Thank you. Marsha
