Swap Til You Drop

Now you can also do the "No Buy" challenge that many people are doing in this economy. Fashionistas are not buy any new clothes for a year...but you can buy vintage or thrift store fashions. Can you take the challenge?
If the new barter economy means that you can trade a Dries Van Noten winter coat for last summer's Marni sandals things can't be that bad. ReFashioner, a new invitation-Web site, lets you swap your unwanted designer and vintage clothes for other couture castoffs. Kate Sekules, a New York writer, editor and Comme des Garcons addict, said the site was created for women who love "good designers and good design-and who like turnover." No money is exchanged, though a $5 fee is charged per trade. And while you wait to receive an invite from Anna Wintour, you can window shop at ReFashioner
