Michelle Obama Goes Glam

The "opera glove", in the version we know today - a glove of between 19 and 23 inches in length, made of kid leather or fabric, colored white, ivory or black, with a wrist opening closing with three buttons or snap. Opera gloves have been popular ever since actresses like Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe donned them in their many roles. Today, opera gloves are a popular accessory at events and formal occasions.
At a formal state dinner hosted by Queen Elizabeth II, First Lady Michelle Obama wore a white gown with a crisscross halter neckline by Tom Ford, a top American designer. She accessorized with white opera gloves and a silver clutch bag.
Do you feel that opera gloves are too old-fashion?
