First question: If you were to dump out your handbag in public, what would embarrass you? Feminine napkins? A used tissue? Half eaten bag of chips? Prescriptions? Tucks medicated pads? A spare set of dentures?
Second question: How much would you pay to see what’s in women’s handbags?
German artist Hans-Peter Feldmann hopes that visitors to a London gallery will pay to see what’s in women’s bags. After all, that’s what he did. Feldmann approached women from all over the world, sometimes paying up to $800 for the contents of their bags. Now those contents are on display and visitors don’t always find it so interesting. According to Feldman, “they are a very polite people but some visitors came to the show and said ‘we want to have our money back.”
What’s your take?
