Swedish fashion retailer H&M (real name-Hennes & Mauritz) is teaming up with French fashion house Maison Martin Margiela to launch its latest clothing collection.
"Maison Martin Margiela is one of the most important and influential fashion houses of the past three decades," Margareta van den Bosch, H&M's creative advisor, said. "I am so excited by this collaboration which will give fashion lovers around the world the chance to wear special pieces by Maison Martin Margiela."
Martin Margiela worked for Jean Paul Gaultier, before showing his first collection under his own label in 1989. Between 1997 to 2003 he became, despite his non-traditional design, the creative director of the Hermès women's line. Though he is no longer with the fashion house no replacement creative director has been appointed.
Beginning November 15, 2012 a collection of Margiela clothing accessories for both men and women will be sold in select H&M stores across the world.
