Sample Sites

If you are  like us you love to receive packages in the mail. When it comes as a surprise it is awesome. With this in mind beauty sampling programs are popping up everywhere. Beauty products that are delivered to your door. No they are not free...they cost anywhere from $10 to $15 a month. One of the important feature of these sites are to answer all the questions concerning your skin and facial features. So here are a few.

Birchbox (birchbox.com)
Cost $10 a month or $110 for a yearly subscription. You can only cancel yearly subscription in the first month. Four or five deluxe samples of brands like Nars, Stila and Weleda plus one non-beauty item. Birchbox also offers a point system. You earn points by buying full size products on their website.  
Sample Society With Allure (beautybar.com)
Cost $15 per month. You may cancel at any time. They advertise deluxe-size samples from high end brands, StriVectin, Erno Laszlo, Deborah Lippmann, Oscar de la Renta, and more. A coupon for $15 towards purchase at  beautybar is also included.   
GlossyBox (glosybox.com)
Cost $21 a month, $115 for 6 months, or $220 for a year. No cancellations are allowed. Deluxe samples from brands like Illamasqua, Caswell--Massey and Figs & Rouge, with occasional non-cosmetic bonus products. They also have a customer loyalty program so that you may earn extra months on your subscription.
 Ipsy (lpsy.com)
Cost $10 a month or $110 a year. You may cancel at any time. A reusable make-up bag with four or five deluxe samples and full-size products. Products featured are Urban Decay, Tarte, and Philosophy. Video lessons on their website are excellent.  
Beautyfix (beautyfix.com)
Cost $49.99 for each kit. Four are sent a year and you are automatically enrolled for a year's subscription. This beauty sampling program lets you make choices. You pick eight item from a list of 50-60 products. Phytomer, SkinMedica, Plilip B, Jane Iredale, Nailtiques and SpaRitual are some of the products. Also you receive a free make-up bag.

Before you click "buy" read the reviews. Check out their face book pages. They sometimes offer giveaways, discounts and deals. Don't skip the quiz, customize your purchases. Above all check the fine print. Many services automatically re-enroll you, and you may or may not be able to cancel. Check for shipping costs, and usually returns are not permitted, unless a box arrives damaged. Then I would be sure to take a picture of the box before opening.
