NYC Fashion Week Spring 2014

Now that Fashion Week is over, here is just a sampling of trends for the upcoming season.
Hope this is not one of them.
Here are some of our favorites.
Marc Jacobs clothes were dark, almost threatening, with wide shoulders, floor-sweeping hemlines, and lots of black.  Also his collection showed the trends of floral panels.
Consisting of a mainly whites, chambrays, blushes, and black, the BCBG girl looked to the seventies but retained her city girl look.
Christian Siriano’s spring 2014 collection showed a strong departure from his signature tiered ruffles—although there were plenty of those too, in gauzy cream and floral prints in pink, green, and blue.
Fans of Phillip Lim's pretty rhinestones will be happy to note that several pieces will feature glittery collars.
Skin is in!   From backless dresses and high slits to crop tops and asymmetrical jackets, bare skin was on full display at Alexander Wang’s show.
